For this Limited edition Field Notes has partnered with the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum to create the Two Rivers memo book. The Hamilton Manufacturing Company is located in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and has produced much of the wood type used from 1880 through the mid-20th century. Today the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum offers a must see collection of this printing history including an exclusive print shop, printers, designers and students from around the world. Field Notes loves printing history and the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum. They have worked closely with the museum to create this uniquely designed cover and is also donating $2 top the museum for each 3-Pack sold.
The cover of the Field Notes Two Rivers edition is made from a collection of vintage type and ornaments from Hamilton’s collection printed on four unique cover stocks from the French Paper company of Niles, Michigan. Each of the covers are printed in 2 different ink colors at the Hamilton Manufacturing Company taking 8 months to create the covers. These designs are then randomized across the run creating thousands of variations. Each 3-Pack will have a unique and different set of covers with no two 3-Packs the same.
