This Eras pencil sports a gold-banded design inspired by the pencil that kicked off the Blackwing revival in 2010. Each box includes 12 special edition pencils that feature a matte black barrel, gold stripe, gold ferrule, white eraser, and our soft graphite.

This special edition pencil is the sixth entry in our Blackwing Eras series - honoring Blackwing's heritage with designs inspired by the Blackwing 602's unique history.
In 2020, Blackwing launched our first Eras pencil celebrating 10 years of the Blackwing revival with a design pulled straight from the 1930s. This year, on the 15th anniversary of the Blackwing revival, we're celebrating the more recent past.

This Eras pencil sports a gold-banded design inspired by the pencil that kicked off the Blackwing revival in 2010. Each box includes 12 special edition pencils that feature a matte black barrel, gold stripe, gold ferrule, white eraser, and our soft graphite. Each pencil also features a debossed horse emblem stamped on the barrel that is an ode to the logo on the 2010 design.

The Blackwing pencil has a rich history dating back to 1934. In 2008, Palamino acquired the brand and began production of the Blackwing range as we know it today. Blackwing pencils are famously known for their quality of graphite and the unique softness and smoothness of their lead. The Blackwing pencil has an instantly recognisable semi hexagonal body and interchangeable eraser. The original 602 pencil single handedly inspired the works of some of history's greatest throughout the years. It is said that Disney animator Shamus Culhane asked to be buried with his Blackwing 602.
