Emilio Braga's iconic Cloud Print notebook has been hand-crafted by this family-run business since 1918 in a workshop just outside of Lisbon, Portugal.
They are still produced in the same handmade way, without recourse to Industrial equipment.The books are sewn and glued using techniques over 100 years old. The smooth crème paper is suitable for both writing and sketching. Each book comes with a piece of card lined on one side and squares on the other to use as a writing guide. The spine and corners are crafted from cotton fabric to give it superior resistance. The paper edges are sponged with a contrast colour to give a wonderful dappled effect.
Every detail is well-considered and spectacular, marbled paper covers wrap around thick bookboard, corners are wrapped in heavy cotton bookcloth to prevent damage, spine is bookcloth-clad as well. Page edges are hand-sponged resulting in a unique pattern for each and are made of cotton paper from FSC certified suppliers, exquisite to write on, the blue-ruled, wide-lined pages have a timeless appeal.
