The EXPEDITION EDITION sports a hi-visibility "Antarctic Survey Orange" front cover and "Polar Night Black" back cover, with a subtle varnish effect featuring a topographic map of Antarctica. The body pages feature our always popular "dot grid" graph paper, printed in light gray. The real innovation here is the paper. It's maybe not even fair to call it paper. The whole book is printed on Yupo Synthetic, a water- and tear-proof, high-tech paper manufactured in Chesapeake, Virginia. Each 3-Pack is belly-banded in gray and shrink-wrapped, and ready for pretty much whatever you throw at it.

Note: Synthetic paper is nonporous and doesn’t absorb ink like our conventional papers. Ballpoint pens, pencils, or fine tip Sharpies work best.

FIELD NOTES
Field Notes is an American notebook brand headquartered in Chicago, that designs, prints and manufactures memo books and related accessories. Founded in 2007, the Field Notes brand is a joint venture between Portland, Oregan-based Draplin Design Company and Chicago-based design firm Coudal Partners.Field Notes notebooks come with ruled, graph or plain pages in their signature "kraft" brown color, but the brand has become known for their smaller runs of limited edition notebooks, which are released quarterly and available individually or as part of their year long subscription service. The limited edition releases have gained a devoted fan following, including a few active Facebook groups like "Field Nuts", and a website Fiend Notes Group, with a membership of over 25,000 and growing.
