Introducing Glow, a leather techo cover that grows more beautiful with use — developing a shine and patina that reflect the steps you’ve taken along the way.
The leather is “Toscano Liscio,” a smooth leather from Conceria 800 (Ottocento), a tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Made using the traditional Bagnetto method, in which 100% vegetable tannins are carefully worked into every single fiber, the surface is fine-grained and wonderfully pleasant to the touch.
The deep burgundy hue is named “Chianti,” inspired by the iconic Italian wine from the Tuscany region. It is treated with an aniline finish, allowing you to fully enjoy the rich patina the leather develops as it ages beautifully over time. The cover folds into thirds in a simple design that suits anyone. To keep stitching to a minimum, the leather is generously cut and the left sleeve is folded over and sewn together.
The inside of the cover is left unlined, keeping the thickness down while letting the natural character of the leather’s reverse side show through. A wax treatment smooths the surface and adds water resistance without compromising its natural feel and look. This cover has a design that strikes a fine balance between beauty and practicality.

This cult planner features a minimal and functional design and is full of little details that make it absolutely unique, such as quotes and informational pages about Japanese history, annual events, and folk tales.
The Hobonichi Techo is made by Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shimbun (ほぼ日刊イトイ新聞), a website and lifestyle brand curated by Japanese copywriter Shigesato Itoi. Hobonichi comes from the word meaning “almost everyday” and techo meaning “planner.”
