Informasjon
English Version | January Start | 544 pages | Hardcover | Monday week start | Slash is one of the basic design options for the HON, which has a hardcover design already attached to the book. The dark navy cover almost looks black, and the diagonal slash is foil-printed in gold.
The design is based on the forward-slash symbol ( / ) used when writing dates. The cloth of the cover has a matte texture that feels nice in your hands and is resistant to grime, as well as wear and tear. The book spine is foil-pressed in gold with the year 2027 and the HON logo for easy reference when placed in your bookshelf alongside other books.
The Hobonichi Techo HON has a hardcover design already attached to the book. It’s designed to make you feel like you’re carrying around a favorite book, which you can pull out at any time to make notes no matter where you are. The contents are the same as the Hobonichi Techo Cousin. The A5-size HON includes Daily, Monthly and vertical weekly pages; allowing you to plan each week on a two-page spread.
The bookbinding on the HON has thread-stitch binding, so it opens 180 degrees onto the table. It stays flat even if you don’t hold it down. The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. This paper that underwent an overhaul with the 2024 edition techo is more resistant to bleed through, lighter despite being the same thickness, and has a smoother surface by adjusting the fibers of the paper.
The English edition features standard favorites like My 100, Favorites, and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, alongside new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block, Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words, and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map.

HOBONICHI
The Hobonichi Techo is much more than a planner: it's an internationally famous lifestyle icon. This cult planner features a minimal and functional design and is full of little details that make it absolutely unique, such as quotes and informational pages about Japanese history, annual events, and folk tales.
The Hobonichi Techo is made by Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shimbun (ほぼ日刊イトイ新聞), a website and lifestyle brand curated by Japanese copywriter Shigesato Itoi. Hobonichi comes from the word meaning “almost everyday” and techo meaning “planner.”
