A codex binding with an exposed thread-stitched spine allows the journal to open out flat from beginning to end for easy writing every day of the year. The corner of each page tears off along a dotted line, providing a satisfying end to your entries.
The blank notebook is ideal if you like free space for ideas and sketches. You can write the date or number each page in the space at the bottom. The stitching of the spine is visible and matches the line color of each notebook. Midori's quest to find the best form for a notebook has also resulted in a design icon. Cheesecloth mesh tape, which is usually hidden under the cover of a book has been left exposed. The delicate pattern of the cheesecloth creates a distinctive appearance.
MD paper is suitable for use with both fountain pens and pencils. MD Notebooks do not have a traditional cover, allowing the pages to lay completely flat.
