This notebook features MD Cotton paper, which is made with 20% cotton pulp. The cotton fibers are longer, thinner, and more absorbent than wood pulp. It is lightly textured, giving a pleasant tactile feedback when you write or sketch on it.

Like other MD notebooks, it was made in Japan to create a superbly pleasant writing experience. MD paper is rigorously tested to ensure that it is bleed-resistant, feather-resistant, and fountain pen friendly. The notebook has a sturdy thread binding that lies flat when open, making it easy to write. It also comes with a ribbon marker to keep your place. The cover is not a typical notebook cover. To showcase the charm of the paper itself, the cloth tape used to bind the spine, usually hidden by a cover, is exposed, giving the notebook a unique look. You can even see where the ribbon marker is glued in place. The notebook also comes with sticker labels that can be used to label the notebook.

This notebook uses Midori's "F" sizing system, which is based on the golden ratio and the French system of standard canvas sizes for painters. This F0 notebook is perfect for drawing small sketches and motifs.
